I.Biography
Two decades in Cook County courtrooms.
Kourosh Arami is the founding attorney of Arami Law, a Chicago family law firm representing business owners and high-net-worth individuals through divorce and family law matters. For twenty-one years, his practice has focused on the cases other firms decline: high-asset divorce, contested custody, and disputes where a closely held business is part of the marital estate. He is a graduate of the Chicago-Kent College of Law and is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois.
Trial-tested, not trial-averse.
Mr. Arami’s reputation is built on a simple proposition: prepare every matter as if it will be tried, because the willingness to walk into a courtroom is what changes the terms across the table. That approach has made him known for taking on the fully litigated hearings, the contested custody disputes, and the high-asset valuation fights that other firms advise their clients to settle rather than pursue.
A trusted advocate in Chicago’s Persian community.
Mr. Arami’s background has also made him a trusted advocate within Chicago’s Persian-speaking and Spanish-speaking communities, where he is regularly sought out for family law matters that call for both legal precision and cultural fluency.
How this site’s content is prepared.
Every practice-area page and guide on this site is drafted with the firm and personally reviewed and approved by Mr. Arami before publication. Legal references are checked against current Illinois statute at the time of writing, and guides are dated and revisited as the law changes. Nothing goes live without his review.
