The most valuable thing a family law attorney can offer their client is knowledge. When law firms advertise a free consultation, clients often get what they pay for, which is to say, attorneys do not provide anything of value in these meetings. In many cases, the potential client will spend more time hearing about the law firm and the attorney’s education than discussing their own legal issues.
At Arami Law, we take the responsibility of helping our clients very seriously, and our goal is to provide actionable guidance right from the beginning. The fee for an initial consultation is your first investment in a strong legal strategy. You will receive much more than a sales pitch when you meet with our team. You will leave with a better understanding of your case and your legal options.
Here’s what to expect when you schedule a consultation with Arami Law:
You’ll get real advice on your case. The attorney will review your legal issues, discuss the outcome you desire, and share their advice on how to proceed. You can bring relevant documents to review or a list of questions. You’ll be able to see how the attorney reviews data and builds a legal strategy, and you can determine if you feel comfortable working together.
There will be a fee for the consultation. The attorney is compensated for their time, and in exchange, you will receive actual guidance you can use in your case.
You can ask questions after the consultation. When we say we’ll answer all your questions, we mean it. After considering points from the initial meeting, if you have additional questions, our team will be happy to assist you.
You will receive a reduced retainer toward future work. If you decide to hire the firm for additional legal services, your consultation fee will become a credit toward your retainer. This allows you to make the most of the time and funds you have invested by working with a firm that already understands the basics of your case.
Our services are billed on an hourly basis. When you choose to work with our firm, you will be asked to sign a written fee agreement that explains in detail the rates we charge. You will also be asked to pay a retainer, which is placed in a trust fund. As work is completed, the retainer funds are transferred from the trust to our firm. When the case is complete, any remaining retainer funds will be returned to you.
We understand that your time is valuable, and we offer both in-person and virtual meetings to make it as easy as possible to keep your case moving forward. You can meet with our team in our downtown Chicago offices for in-depth, face-to-face discussions and strategy sessions when needed, but you can also conduct online meetings with your attorney from the convenience of your home or work.
If you are dealing with a family law issue such as divorce, parental rights, or a child support dispute, a consultation with our firm can provide valuable guidance and specific recommendations. Contact us today to schedule your initial consultation and get your questions answered.
