Biggest Celebrity Divorces of 2020

By all accounts, 2020 was a rough year, and it has the divorces to prove it. Dr. Dre and Nicole Young

In June, Dr. Dre – the rapper and entrepreneur (Beats, Record One, and Death Row Records) – and his wife of 24 years, Nicole Young, filed for a divorce predicated on irreconcilable differences in California. Allegations in this exceptionally contentious divorce include:

• Ms. Young contends that she was coerced into signing a prenup. 
• Ms. Young also alleges physical and emotional abuse in addition to being kicked out of their shared home. 
• For his part, Dre alleges that Young embezzled from one of his companies. 

It is Ms. Young’s belief that Dre is hiding assets. Ownership of trademarks as well as spousal support (Ms. Young has apparently requested $2 million per month) remain hot-button issues. 

Sean Hannity and Jill Rhodes

After a lengthy separation, Sean Hannity and his wife of 26 years reportedly divorced in 2019, but news of the divorce didn’t reach the public until 2020. The former couple shares two minor children, and their divorce has been characterized as amicable. 

Tracy Morgan and Megan Wollover

The comedian Tracy Morgan and his wife of five years, Megan Wollover, have filed for divorce, and though they have a prenuptial agreement, conflict continues, including:

• Morgan seeks joint legal custody of their shared child, but Wollover is asking for sole legal and physical custody. 
• Interestingly, Morgan is requesting that Wollover be required to change her surname back to her former name and to no longer use Morgan.
